Update: So you know how we got all excited about Brangelina finally tying the knot...well evidently it's not going to happen any time soon, according to Peopleanyways. Multiple sources are claiming that the allegations that the longtime couple are walking down the aisle this summer are completely false, stating, "there is no evidence nor any single truth" to the matter. So there you have it -- shortest engagement in celebrity history. Maybe next time it will stick.
Earlier: We've long been asking...and they've finally answered! Us Weekly reports thatAngelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are officially planning for their wedding, and the event is set to take place within the next few months. Three different sources reportedly confirmed to the magazine that the nuptials were a go, and they all said the ceremony would probably take place at their renovated Chateau Miraval in Correns, France, and we are not to expect an over-the-top and extravagant union. Rather, it's more likely to be "intimate and informal."
In the past, Angelina and Brad have both said they wouldn't get married until gay marriage was legalized. And with the recent passing of the gay rights bill by the New York State Senate, it's probably no coincidence that there are rumors of them beginning to plan their big day. The couple have openly spoken about the additional pressure to tie the knot that they get from their children, and Brad even told USA Today in May that his children with Angelina were continually asking when their parents were going to get married: "[Marriage is] meaning more and more to them," he said. And seeing as how Angelina and Brad are incredibly outnumbered at home, it's kind of shocking they didn't pull a few strings to make the gay marriage bill pass sooner so they could get married and shut their kids up without reneging on their desire for social justice. Uh oh. WAIT.
